Cedarglade Farms is comprised of 8+ acres across three properties. We began in 2019, when we bought a plot of land that turned out be a globally unique cedar glade ecosystem. Cool! The Tennessee Division of Natural Areas confirmed at least two cedar glades on our farmland and identified several endangered plants, including the infamous Limestone Fameflower.
We are currently working with state zoologists to actively survey the farm for wildlife associated with the glades.
Cedarglade Farms is focused on breeding black, blue, and silver Muscovy ducks to the American Poultry Association’s standard of perfection. We selectively breed for health, color, size, and heavy caruncles.
Muscovy ducks do not quack like Mallard-derived duck breeds, they are calm tempered, and they make for excellent natural pest-control. They are particularly helpful with controlling flies, ticks and mosquitos.
